We are hosting an event about postgraduate opportunities in the Acoustics Research Centre. This will be hybrid: face-to-face in Peel 120 for those able to come to campus, while also on Teams for those only able to join remotely.
The Acoustics Research Centre is one of the biggest and most active acoustics research groups. We have been carrying of Acoustics research at Salford for over 60 years. Our research covers a wide range of topics such as:
- Acoustic measurements
- Architectural and Building Acoustics
- Audio Engineering
- Computer modeling of sound
- Environmental noise and soundscapes
- Materials for acoustics
- Psychoacoustics
- Public engagement
- Vibro-acoustics
Director of Postgraduate Research Studies Dr Tanja Poppelreuter will first present on what is post-graduate research, which research paths are available, sources of funding and the application process. After this, from 3pm, there then will be a discussion panel with current postgraduate students, academics, and research staff, where you can hear more about specific areas and ask questions.
