Mike Lomas

Experiences of place attachment and psychological well-being in the context of neighbourhood regeneration.

Summary

An investigation into the individual experiences of place attachment and mental health, in the context of neighbourhood regeneration. The project seeks to develop a greater understanding of people-place relations during the experience of place change and what influence if any, this has in terms of psychological well-being.

Supervisor(s): Professor Philip Brown and Dr Eunice Ayodeji.

Michael is a lecturer in psychology at the University of Salford. He is also currently completing his PhD with SHUSU, where he has also contributed to several projects as a research assistant.

Environmental psychology; social psychology; mental health and well-being; urban regeneration; human geography; urban studies.
