About us
The Salford GLAM Lab was established in 2025 as a cross-disciplinary initiative, positioning itself as the University of Salford’s contact point for cultural heritage institutions seeking an academic partner on digital innovation and preservation. Working directly with the Greater Manchester Museums Group, the University has develop a broader regional network that can communicate within the sector nationally and internationally. The theme of colonial heritage and work towards decolonising museum collections serves as a unifying concept for the network.
