Young people’s involvement in the research
The research team is working with the Common Room which supports young people’s involvement in shaping research. Young people with lived experience of mental health services are involved in the study in two ways.
Firstly, a panel of eight young people meet regularly to provide feedback and input into the conduct of the study, such as providing their perspective on the emerging findings of the research and how this could translate into practice.
Secondly, a co-researcher with lived experience works on the research study. Their role is to support the running of the study, the analysis and the dissemination of findings. With a consultant from The Common Room, the co-researcher co-chairs a panel of eight young people.
