Post-implementation evaluation of the homelessness part of the Housing (Wales) Act 2014
The Housing (Wales) Act 2014 introduced major changes to the way homelessness is now tackled in Wales, and the core changes in the Act are aimed at focusing services on preventing homelessness and providing assistance to all eligible applicants. This project, which was funded by the Welsh Government, aims to understand how the legislation has been implemented by organisations involved in supporting people at risk of homelessness (local authorities, housing associations and third sector organisations). This longitudinal (18 month) post-implementation evaluation focuses on both the process and impact of this legislation. It is hoped that the research will inform the Welsh Government’s understanding of the experiences of those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
