A review of successful site provision for Scotland’s Gypsies/Travellers

The aim of the project was to identify the factors which contribute to the establishment and maintenance of good community relations at Gypsy/Traveller sites. There were two specific objectives:

1. To provide an analysis of how to anticipate and mitigate problems in any proposed site provision.
2. To provide a summary of good practice from which others can learn.

In January 2014, the Equality and Human Rights Commission commissioned SHUSU to carry out the study grounded in the experience of a variety of key informants working and living in a number of case study areas.

The project completed in March 2014.
