Alternative Funding Workshop – Monday 14th September, 13:30-16:00

With UKRI, Leverhulme, and British Academy funding application processes becoming increasingly more complex and time-consuming, and funding increasingly difficult to secure, researchers are now required to broaden their search for research funding pathways.

This workshop addresses the increasing demand on humanities researchers and supports them in navigating ‘alternative’ funding landscapes, including approaching Foundations and Trusts such as Wellcome Trust, Joseph Rowntree Foundation, and Paul Mellon Centre.

This workshop will be led by Luke Blaxill, who has won more than 50 awards from charitable funders. As Co-Director of the Alternative Guide to Postgraduate Funding, he has spent over fifteen years helping universities and researchers uncover non-traditional funding opportunities and develop effective fundraising strategies.
