Research Opportunity for Physiotherapists

  • Are you an MSK or pain physiotherapist interested in getting involved in research ?
  • We have current opportunties for MSK/pain physiotherapists of grade 6 and above
  • The work is paid and can be undertaken as secondment or in your own time.
  • It involves delivering our new intervention (see below) or current best practice to patients with chronic back pain through one-to-one physiotherapy sessions.

Opportunities:  Since 2018 we have received over £500k of funding to develop a cutting edge, evidence based intervention for chronic pain known as ‘Cognitive Muscular TherapyTM’  Cognitive Muscular Therapy | Cognitive Muscular Therapy | University of Salford. Although our original implementation of CMT was for knee osteoarthritis, we have now expanded to other chronic pain conditions, such as low back pain and neck pain.

Join us at the University of Salford and contribute to groundbreaking research focused on testing and comparing Cognitive Muscular Therapy with gold standard psychologically informed physiotherapy for chronic musculoskeletal pain conditions.
