English colleagues were recognised at the University’s recent Research and Innovation Awards, a ceremony for which was held on 3 July. The categories in which our researchers were awarded are as follows:
Best Cultural Sector Collaboration
- Dr Szilvi Naray-Davey – JOINT WINNER ESTABLISHED EXCELLENCE: for the premier of the The Dead Man in collaboration with the Ignition Stage Theatre Company and The Hungarian Consulate.
- Dr Emma Barnes – RISING STAR WINNER: for collaboration with Southern Voices on the event ‘Exploring Legacies of Empire: Perspectives from the Global South’
Best Community or Public Engagement Initiative
- Dr. Stephen Hornby – RISING STAR WINNER: for “The Day the World Came to Huddersfield” pride 1981 project
- Dr Jade Munslow Ong – ESTABLISHED EXCELLENCE WINNER: for decolonising the English ‘A’ Level
