I have been a Psychology lecturer at the University of Salford for over 10 years. For the last 7 years I have been part time, juggling work with raising 2 children. Over this time, I have had key administrative roles and have extensive experience teaching across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate modules. Prior to this, I worked for the PSSRU at the University of Manchester and was involved in a Department of Health funded study, looking at assessment of older people.
I am currently Programme Leader for BSc (Hons) Psychology with Dr Lynne Marrow. This flagship Programme runs in Salford and in our partner institution in Hong Kong. In this important role, we are responsible for the management of the programme and take a key interest in the well-being of all our 250 students. I am module leader for Introduction to Biological and Cognitive Psychology, Biological Psychology and Psychology of Health. I supervise dissertations for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
My current research interests are in Dementia, and I am a member of the Salford University Dementia by Design group.
