The research group recently won about \u00a31200k (full economic costings) from EPSRC for a 40-months project on masonry arch bridges. The project partners are The University of Sheffield, Network Rail and Balfour Beatty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This group supports the successful <a href=\"https:\/\/beta.salford.ac.uk\/courses\/postgraduate\/structural-engineering\">MSc Structural Engineering postgraduate course<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Geotechnical engineering research focuses particularly on soil-structure interaction problems, analysed using physical and numerical modelling.
