We are really excited to launch our new event series at The University of Salford on Disruptive Technologies. We will hear, see and interact with some of the most remarkable innovators and thinkers from around the world, unpicking and exploring the role of disruptive technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cluster Activities 2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Cluster members&#8217; Projects sharing on intersection of AI, cybersecurity, and inclusive innovation; and updates on RKE activities on 24th Feb 2026 <\/strong>(Speakers: Dr. Angel Jimenez-Aranda; Aishatu Mohammed Lawan; Dr. Maria Kutar). Key highlights included an overview of the\u00a0<em>AI Cyber Nexus<\/em>\u00a0project, showcasing intensive SME engagement around securing AI systems and using AI to enhance cybersecurity, alongside evidence of strong regional impact and legacy resources now available online. The meeting also featured a presentation on\u00a0<em>bridging the AI divide<\/em>, demonstrating how participatory workshops with SMEs, particularly in under\u2011resourced contexts, can build AI awareness, confidence, and ethical understanding, and influence policy engagement.
