Dr Daniela Ghio

Daniela is a Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Salford, Manchester and a chartered psychologist with interests in digital health across the lifespan and paediatric psychology. She holds a PhD from the University of Manchester and has previously graduated from an MSc in Clinical and Health Psychology and a BSc (Hons) Psychology also from the University of Manchester. Daniela previously worked at the University of Southampton for 4 years as a Research Fellow working on National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) projects developing and testing digital interventions for different health conditions, including emotional distress, screening and treating malnutrition in older adults, type 1 diabetes, and eczema.

Daniela’s research areas cover health psychology, behavioural medicine, behaviour change, mixed methodology, knowledge translation, public engagement, self-management of long-term conditions, e-health, m-health, digital interventions.
