Dementia Associates offers a supportive space where people can connect with others and take part in ways that feel right for them.<br>There is no pressure to take part in everything, and no expectation to share more than you feel comfortable with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ways to get involved<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Everyone is different, so we offer a range of ways to take part. You can choose what suits you, and you can change your mind at any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Speaking to students <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some Dementia Associates enjoy sharing their lived experience with students in relaxed, supported sessions. Speaking to students is always optional and only one of many ways to be involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Singing for the Brain<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Delivered in partnership with the Alzheimer\u2019s Society, our monthly Singing for the Brain sessions bring people together through music, familiar songs, and shared enjoyment in a warm and supportive setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sip and Sow Society<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Time spent in our dementia\u2011friendly garden with gentle gardening, tea, biscuits, and conversation. No gardening experience is needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Dementia Associates meetings<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Informal get\u2011togethers to share updates, hear about opportunities, and stay connected to the wider work of the Hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Creative and community projects<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Opportunities to take part in creative projects, events, and partnerships at your own pace and comfort level.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Why join us Living with dementia or memory changes can sometimes feel isolating.
