The toronto alexithymia scale is a 20 item questionnaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Items are scored on a 1-5 scale, with the total scale score calculated as a sum of the items. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some items are reversed. For example, a score of 1 will become a score of 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scores that are 51 or below indicate low alexithymia whereas scores that are 61 or higher indicate high alexithymia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
