International Women’s Day: Be Inspired!

To celebrate this year’s International Women’s Day on Tuesday 8th March, we want to actively recognise the contributions of our women postgraduate researchers and research staff at the University of Salford.

We are seeking inspiring stories of women researchers and their journeys in and into academia. To this end we are asking you to nominate a female researcher in your School/Department/across the University who meets at least one of the following criteria:

  • Overcoming a personal barrier
  • Demonstrating social mobility
  • Commitment to public or community engagement
  • Been active in enterprising activities
  • Actively supporting the needs of the research community at Salford

Please complete this online nomination form with reasons for your nomination. The deadline for nominations is Friday 4rd March 12.00pm.

We will be holding a Coffee morning on Tuesday 8th March from 10.00am – 12.00pm (place tbc) to celebrate our female researchers.

All nominees will be invited to the event where a winner will be announced. The coffee morning is open to all of our postgraduate research community at Salford (male and female!).You are all warmly welcome to attend and commemorate the achievements of our female researchers.
