Each portrait is linked to a different type of dwelling; some were very common, others were quite specific and have become obsolete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hub.salford.ac.uk\/modern-salford\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/222\/2023\/12\/In-the-Face-of-Dwelling-Poster-576x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1307\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When set side-by-side these images evoke memories and make us wonder about the daily lives and struggles of families in Salford.
