He has presented many documentaries for BBC Radio including, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/programmes\/b055g10j\">Giving Up Music for Lent<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/programmes\/b01p3n9f\">The Physicists Guide to the Orchestra<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/programmes\/b0122t6q\">Green Ears<\/a>. He is an author of two popular science books, Sonic Wonderland and Now You&#8217;re Talking. He has also written for National Geographical, Reader&#8217;s Digest and The Guardian. His acoustics research includes architectural acoustics, improving hearing aids and understanding how people respond to sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Overtone Productions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHighly effective and unusual\u2026 Gripping and engaging radio\u201d Sony Academy Award judges<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBeautiful\u2026 Kinda blew our minds\u201d Radiolab\u2019s Robert Krulwich and Jad Abumrad<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adam Fowler and Anna Scott-Brown from <a href=\"http:\/\/overtoneproductions.co.uk\/\">Overtone Productions<\/a> are highly creative producers who finds clear and engaging lines of narrative through complex issues. Awards include Directors Choice: Best Documentary at the Third Coast Festival in Chicago, A Sony Radio Academy Gold, and a New York Radio Festival Gold award. Adam Fowler also teaches creative audio and podcasting at the University of Salford. Overtone Associate Gill Davies is heading the marketing of the podcast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Annabeth Robinson: Animation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Annabeth is an Electronic Artist and Filmmaker who uses virtual worlds and game platforms to research serious games. Her virtual mapping game was co-presented at conferences including ALT-C and JISC Digifest. This won a THES Award and was shortlisted for a Guardian Award. Her work has also been shown internationally. For example, she created visuals and animated backdrops for Ya Devi (2015), an Arts Council funded Dance Theatre show. Annabeth is course tutor for BA Animation, University of Salford.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Curriculum resources development: NUSTEM<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Jonathan Sanderson, Carol Davenport and colleagues from<a href=\"https:\/\/nustem.uk\/\"> Nustem<\/a> will be developing career resources for schools building on the podcast. Nustem supports children, teachers and families to build a confident relationship to STEM. Established in 2014 with HEFCE funding, NUSTEM works across Engineering and Environment to support outreach, widening participation and public engagement.
