Alongside these issues, there are long-term health consequences, individuals who injury their ACL have a significantly increased risk of developing patellofemoral and tibiofemoral joint osteoarthritis. Rehabilitation after this injury is longstanding and understanding how this is undertaken in typical NHS practices is needed to determine whether any advancements in recent technology and knowledge could further enhance outcomes.
