Accurate prediction of tissue damage can be effective in reducing the incidence of ulcers. The purpose of this project is to use tissue mechanics and biomechanical assessments to enhance the prediction of diabetic foot ulcers. Methods such as plantar ultrasound elastography to assess the tissue stiffness are used to predict the incident of ulceration.
