This study investigates the physical behaviour and postnatal experiences of Emirati women, focusing on diet, sleep, quality of life, and exercise self-efficacy, especially during the pandemic. Using a mixed methods approach with questionnaires and interviews, the research aims to inform policymakers and develop a framework for physical activity recommendations in the postnatal population, addressing the rising obesity and associated health issues in the United Arab Emirates. Veena Raigangar: Physical Activity, Sleep, Health Related Quality of Life, Diet and Exercise Self-Efficacy in Emirati Pregnant Women: An Embedded Mixed Methods Study.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This study aims to explore the physical behaviours, sleep, diet, exercise self-efficacy, and health-related quality of life of Emirati women across the three trimesters during pregnancy, addressing the high obesity rates and related health risks among this group in the UAE.  The study uses a mixed methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews, to provide insights that could influence clinical practice and public health strategies for Emirati pregnant women.
