Professor Andrew Clark

Andrew joined the University of Salford in December 2008 as a Lecturer in Sociology (Research Methods) and was made a Senior Lecturer in 2012, Reader in 2015, and Professor in 2018.  Andrew has completed research on a wide range of topics, though he is particularly interested in four areas: neighbourhoods & communities; dementia and ageing; social science understandings of fire & fire risk; and innovation & creativity in social science research methods. Central to his work is a commitment to interdisciplinary activity and the benefits this can bring to understanding real world problems and issues.
