Dr Katy Szczepura

Katy Szczepura is the research lead for the Diagnostic Imaging department, and co-lead for the research group Protecting the Public’s Health through Prevention and Diagnosis. 

She is a medical physicist, with a background in radiation protection and image analysis. 

Her research interests are around image metrics, analysis and optimisation of the imaging chain from acquisition through to diagnosis. 

She has developed a lesion visibility analytical tool to measure the conspicuity index of lesions within DICOM images.
