Dr Julie Lawrence
My research interests are focused within the social work discipline and include the following areas:
- Professional ethics
- Social justice
- Poverty
- Human Rights.
I am also interested in social work and its contribution towards inter-agency practice alongside allied professionals.
I am currently managing a funded project on behalf of Salford Citizens Advice, as the Principal Investigator. The project is called Help through Crisis and is a National Lottery (national) initiative, which is about people who need support when in crisis.
I am also involved in a Greater Manchester Pilot Project about the development of social workers undertaking a Practice Supervisor role, supporting other social workers in practice.
Postgraduate Research Supervision Interests
Topic areas of interest for supervision include:
Social work focused upon adults. This can include learning disabilities, mental health issues and complex health and social care needs. I also have an interest within inter-professional and multi-disciplinary practice across professions, within organisations.
