Mental Health and Wellbeing

This theme covers various areas of mental health and wellbeing from a variety of theoretical perspectives. We have conducted research on emotional intelligence, creative therapies, psychotherapy outcome, mindfulness, and virtual and augmented reality, and have gained funding from the MRC, the EPSRC, the ESRC, Asthma UK, and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. Within this theme sits the Autism and Criminal Justice Hub (http://hub.salford.ac.uk/acjs/), a growing centre of excellence that aims to increase knowledge and understanding of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) across the whole of the criminal justice system.

For further information about the research in Mental Health and Wellbeing please contact Dr Linda Dubrow-Marshall (l.dubrow-marshall@salford.ac.uk).
