Cognitive Development

This theme specialises in studying children’s cognitive development including learning and memory development and early language acquisition in typical and atypical populations. We have expertise in behavioural and eye-tracking experimental designs and our research has been funded by the British Psychological Society, The Waterloo Foundation, and the ESRC. More information can be found on our lab website (Cog Dev Lab). The Nutrition and Psychopharmacology Brain Development Unit (NPBD) sits within this theme and explores links between nutrition and development of socio-cognitive abilities.

For more information about research in Cognitive Development at the University of Salford please contact Dr Gemma Taylor (g.taylor4@salford.ac.uk).
