Child empowerment and advocacy

Led by Professor Andrew Rowland, is centred around creating ChildSafe communities with children and young people at their hearts. In particular, the programme seeks to introduce and evaluate a pilot Children’s Advocacy House (children’s advocacy centre) in the North West of England. This centre, co-designed with children and young people, will be a confidential source of support for young people to deal with worries and concerns at a very early stage and help them to navigate through the various sources of support available from statutory and third-sector organisations.
