Digital Society
With scholars from fields including sociology, criminology, and health, our focus is to interpret and creatively respond to the opportunities and challenges posed by the increasing digitisation of industry, governance, and everyday life. Expertise in this theme relates to digital culture and (non)consumption, digital economies, digital games, digital health, digital methods, digital sports, the digitisation of work and theories of the digital society. Our members are involved in many international research networks relating to digital society and internet research, and have worked closely with numerous industry partners, which have included Salford City Council, the BBC, Purple Wifi, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Imperial War Museums, Camden Market, Alexandra Palace, the Royal Academy of Arts, and numerous others.
