This is the second professorial appointment in one year from our research team!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Check out the first professorial appointment <a href=\"https:\/\/hub.salford.ac.uk\/fasd\/2021\/12\/21\/the-salfordfasd-team-gains-a-new-professor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clare Allely is now a Professor of Forensic Psychology at the University of Salford in Manchester, England and is also an affiliate member of the Gillberg Neuropsychiatry Centre at Gothenburg University, Sweden. Clare holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Manchester and has previously graduated with an MA (hons.) in Psychology from the University of Glasgow, an MRes in Psychological Research Methods from the University of Strathclyde and an MSc in Forensic Psychology from Glasgow Caledonian University. Clare is also an Honorary Research Fellow in the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences affiliated to the Institute of Health and Wellbeing at the University of Glasgow. She is also an Associate of the Centre for Youth and Criminal Justice (CYCJ) at the University of Strathclyde. Clare also acts as an expert witness in criminal cases and HCPC fitness to practice cases and also contributes to the evidence base used in the courts on psychology and legal issues through her published work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof Allely is a key member of the FASD team, having supported the FASD prevalence study, the parenting intervention development study <a href=\"https:\/\/hub.salford.ac.uk\/fasd\/projects\/specific\/\">SPECIFIC<\/a> and is a co-investigator for the current NIHR\/Oglesby Charitable Trust funded feasibility trial of SPECIFIC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a research team, we wish Prof Allely the very best going forward and look forward to yet more research success!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are most pleased to announce that a member of our research team has been promoted to \u2018Professor of Forensic Psychology\u2019.
