We had our much anticipated\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1111\/acer.14705\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">prevalence study<\/a>\u00a0published which attracted significant media attention, the UK\u2019s Department of Health and Social Care published a Needs Assessment report for FASD\u00a0which mentioned\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1111\/acer.14705\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">our research<\/a>, and we donned\u00a0our FASD T-shirts\u00a0to celebrate FASD awareness day! Media organisations such as the BBC and other\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.salfordnow.co.uk\/2021\/10\/04\/salford-professor-says-big-gap-in-knowledge-of-foetal-alcohol-spectrum-disorder-following-first-ever-uk-wide-study\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">local media outlets<\/a>\u00a0published interesting stories and it was heartwarming to realise the positive attention our research is creating. Robyn McCarthy\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xECgoaOtuSs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">podcast<\/a>\u00a0can be accessed here, while Alan Price participated in a panel of discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>In line with our commitment to increasing knowledge and awareness of FASD, the end of 2021 looks very busy again.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/hub.salford.ac.uk\/fasd\/about_us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The SalfordFASD<\/a>&nbsp;team has been invited and will be supporting the Royal College of Psychiatrists\u2019 Neurodevelopmental Special Interest Group (SIG) conference on the 5<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;of November.
