His research includes work on archives of digital live art in New York and aspects of Malta&#8217;s National Collection of Modern and Contemporary Art held at Spazju Kreattiv. His publications include contributions on preserving Maltese music heritage through digital means and a multi-disciplinary approach to digital curation within processes of documenting performance. The latter was published by Bloomsbury in 2017 in a book called<em> Documenting Performance: The Context and Processes of Digital Curation &amp; Archiving<\/em>. He is the DCL&#8217;s founding director and works closely with researchers and other stakeholders in ensuring that projects and services receive the best support available.<br><br><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dpconline.org\/blog\/wdpd\/wdpd2021-sassine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dr Lamia Sassine<\/a> is the Digital Curation Lab Coordinator.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">Lamia is a researcher and curator with experience working with a wide range of museums and collections. She has produced research and interpretation for digital as well as physical exhibitions and projects, and she is committed to work at the crossroads of academia, collections, and audiences. She completed a Ph.D. investigating perceptions of Phoenician museum collections at the University of Sheffield (2021), an MA (Merit) in artefact studies at University College London (2014) and a BA (Distinction) in archaeology at the American University of Beirut (2013).
