{"id":1380,"date":"2020-06-04T11:03:54","date_gmt":"2020-06-04T11:03:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/network\/test\/projects-housing-and-neighbourhoods\/no-second-night-out-and-street-buddies\/"},"modified":"2020-06-17T10:18:01","modified_gmt":"2020-06-17T09:18:01","slug":"no-second-night-out-and-street-buddies","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hub.salford.ac.uk\/care-shusu\/projects-housing-and-neighbourhoods\/no-second-night-out-and-street-buddies\/","title":{"rendered":"No Second Night Out and Street Buddies"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An evaluation for Riverside English Churches Housing Group<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>No Second Night Out Greater Manchester (NSNO GM) was set up in 2012 as part of a nationwide response to the Coalition Government&#8217;s Strategy to end rough sleeping: <em>Vision to end rough sleeping: No Second Night Out Nationwide<\/em> (DCLG, 2011). The NSNO GM outreach team \u2013 based with Riverside English Churches Housing Group (ECHG) &#8211; assessed the needs of new rough sleepers and linked them to emergency accommodation. In addition to NSNO GM, Riverside ECHG also run a peer mentoring service called Street Buddies, which focused on entrenched rough sleepers with more complex needs. Together, these two services provided a range of support to homeless individuals across Greater Manchester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In October 2013, Riverside ECHG commissioned SHUSU to carry out a rapid evaluation of NSNO GM and the Street Buddies peer mentoring service.
