In particular, it aimed to ascertain the quantity of Gypsy Traveller site provision, including any changes in provision and any imminent plans to develop sites in the future and to investigate the timescales of delivery to meet any accommodation shortfalls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was designed to explore the perspective of local authorities and, to a lesser extent, police forces in Scotland and their understanding of the accommodation needs of Scottish Gypsy Travellers, rather than seeking the direct involvement of Scottish Gypsy Travallers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Principal Investigators and Co-investigators<\/strong>: Professor Philip Brown, Pat Niner (University of Birmingham), Delia Lomax (Heriot-Watt University)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Funder:<\/strong> Equality and Human Rights Commission.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The aim of this study was to provide data about the extent to which local authorities in Scotland were meeting the accommodation needs of Scottish Gypsy Travellers.
