{"id":76,"date":"2023-07-05T09:21:55","date_gmt":"2023-07-05T09:21:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hub.salford.ac.uk\/applied-health-research\/?page_id=76"},"modified":"2024-07-23T10:46:00","modified_gmt":"2024-07-23T10:46:00","slug":"technically-assisted-learning-and-education-nursing-and-midwife-teams-talent-groups-part-of-the-nursing-now-challenge","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hub.salford.ac.uk\/applied-health-research\/digital-health-and-medical-imaging\/technically-assisted-learning-and-education-nursing-and-midwife-teams-talent-groups-part-of-the-nursing-now-challenge\/","title":{"rendered":"Technically Assisted Learning and Education Nursing and Midwife Teams (TALENT) Groups (Part of the Nursing Now Challenge)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Nursing Now campaign&nbsp;supports&nbsp;nurses globally to raise&nbsp;their status and profile.&nbsp; Managed by the University of Coventry, in&nbsp;collaboration with the World Health Organisation and the International Council of Nurses, over 30,000 nurses and midwives have been enrolled in leadership development training by over 800 employers worldwide.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Nursing Now Challenge (NNC)&nbsp;part of this campaign&nbsp;focuses on leadership development for early career (EC) nurses. Based on the&nbsp;Facemums&nbsp;model of working,&nbsp;Health&nbsp;Education&nbsp;England\u2019s Directorate of Global Engagement (DGE) developed and piloted a programme of online communities for leadership development for EC nurses&nbsp;in support of the NNC Challenge.&nbsp;&nbsp;The six&nbsp;pilot&nbsp;online communities were created for&nbsp;early career&nbsp;nurses&nbsp;with leadership potential&nbsp;in England,&nbsp;India&nbsp;and Uganda.&nbsp;Each community was moderated by an experienced nurse leader.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following a positive evaluation of the pilot, where&nbsp;nurse participants reported increased levels of self and professional confidence, the programme will be scaled up and evaluated&nbsp;as the Technically Assisted Learning and Education Nursing and Midwife Teams (TALENT) groups project.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The TALENT Groups project&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Aims to develop&nbsp;virtual communities of leadership development&nbsp;within multiple countries&nbsp;for&nbsp;early career&nbsp;nurses.
