David K: Is a global approach to leadership development suitable for early career nurses?

Linked to the TALENT project which aims to provide leadership development for Early Career Nurses in a range of countries, this PhD uses a qualitative approach to explore whether a global approach to development is suitable for this group of staff. Supervised by Professor Alison Brettle and Professor Louise Ackers

In particular the study:

  1. Explores the similarities and differences in early career nurses’ experiences of leadership from different countries.
  2. Explores the leadership development needs and aspirations of EC nurses from different countries.
  3. Seeks to understand the leadership challenges and barriers faced by early career nurses from different countries.
  4. Will develop a set of practical recommendations to support leadership development of early career nurses.
