NPREM Patient Steering Group

The NPREM Patient Steering Group comprises a group of people with lived experience of needling. Members of the group are from across England and various NHS Trusts. They bring expertise to the research – from treatment experience to cultural and professional background.

They were integral to the NPREM study and provided lived experience view of interview analysis, created items for the questionnaire, assisted with selecting items. They have also made a major contribution to dissemination (presenting at conferences, delivering workshops, co-authors on papers). They offered rich insights which have kept the research focused and on target.

The group continues to meet every 6-8 weeks to discuss the study’s progress and review next steps in the research.
