NETNOCON23 – Building Bridges – 26-27 July 2023

The inaugural International Netnography Conference (NETNOCON23) at the University of Salford welcomed 120 attendees from over 25 countries. The event, chaired by Professor Robert V. Kozinets, and co-chaired by Dr C Vasilica  and colleagues generated substantial online engagement and praise for its organization and content. Attendees appreciated the welcoming environment and insightful presentations, with feedback highlighting inspiration and high standards set by the conference. Dedicated to the theme of “Building Bridges,” NETNOCON23 provided a platform for sharing knowledge and best practices in netnography, a research method developed by Kozinets in 1995 to study online communities and cultures. The conference offered networking opportunities, practical tips, and discussions on applying netnography across various disciplines, including health communication, education, nursing, marketing, and more.
