Project CTZN Workshop

13:00 – 16:30, 9th March 2016

MRC Salford, together with CYPSAE, are pleased to host a workshop on the Greater Manchester Police CTZN Project.

CTZN is a new mobile-based social media platform aimed at 13-18 year olds. It has been built by Gencia, in partnership with the Home Office, Greater Manchester Police and the young people of Manchester. It aims to recognise and reward those on it for positive action within their community; from volunteering to getting involved with social action projects or joining a local sports team. It is due for launch in March 2016.

The event will cover:

  • The vision behind CTZN and why young people tell us it is needed
  • The aims, objectives and outcomes CTZN is looking to achieve in the first funded pilot in partnership with GMP and the Home Office
  • A detailed look at the features within the platform
  • Simple tips and techniques for getting your young people started with CTZN
  • A brief demonstration on how you can simply and quickly add activities to the platform
  • An overview of how young people can be incentivised and rewarded
  • Practical considerations, including administration, safeguarding and on-going support.

Places are limited to two per organisation and reservations will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
