12:30 – 16:00, Tuesday 28th Febuary 2017

MediaCityUK, The University of Salford

This event considers different dimensions of domestic violence and identifies key messages from research in the area to inform and shape practice.

Dr Melissa Corbally from Dublin City University will present elements of her doctoral research on men’s stories of intimate partner violence, often a hidden and underreported dimension of domestic violence.  Dr Khatidja Chantler from the University of Central Lancashire will share her work on Forced Marriage legislation and particularly focussing on males.  Dr Annie Woods a social work practitioner in Salford, will present findings of her study where she carried out ethnographic research in local refuges.
