MRC Salford is pleased to host the BASPCAN North West meeting on Thursday 28th January at the Old Fire Station at the University of Salford, Salford Crescent, Salford M5 4WT.
BASPCAN offers practitioners in all agencies opportunities to share information and good practice to improve skills in preventing physical, emotional and sexual abuse and the neglect of children. This event is being held to establish Branch interest in the North West.
With presentations from Professor David Shemmings (University of Kent) and Steve Bore (Barnardos), this BAPSCAN seminar, in conjunction with MRC Salford, hopes to capture some of the controversy and debate around the wider issues of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation. The full programme is available here.
The seminar will be of particular relevance to: academic researchers; those with an interest in child sexual exploitation, child sexual abuse and children’s rights; and to practitioners working with children and young people and in social work.
