Join us for our opening Making Research Count event of 2016-17, and register for ‘Innovative Uses of Family Group Conferences‘ on Friday 23rd September. The one-day conference will focus on the use of Family Group Conferences (FGCs) in social work practice to plan for the care and protection of vulnerable children and adults. It will examine current evidence from research and practice, bringing together social work/FGC practitioners and students with social work educators and academics. Confirmed speakers include colleagues from Edinburgh and Birmingham City Councils, Professor Kate Morris (University of Sheffield), Dr Louise Brown (University of Bath) and Deanna Edwards & Kate Parkinson (University of Salford).
