An opportunity to consider recent research and work undertaken with student social work workers and practice educators in the placement context. We will look at the sometimes differing perspectives of student and practice educator; the identification and facilitation of support needs for those students struggling with placement; experiences of the assessment process and more broadly consider how this may inform best practice in supporting professional social work placements.
